Ward 2 is blessed with some of the best parks in Windsor from our large community spaces to small neighbourhood playgrounds that bring families together.
During my time knocking on doors, residents consistently tell me that these spaces need care and attention, and that the city’s efforts for naturalization feel like a disguise for neglect. People want to see safe, clean, and well-maintained parks where children can play, and families can gather. That means fixing long-standing issues like removing the sand pit at
Maurice Bélanger Park, improving lighting at Grove Street Park, and ensuring equipment and benches are in good condition.
As councillor, I’ll push for a maintenance-first approach to parks focusing on the small but important upgrades that make our green spaces welcoming and safe. I’ll advocate for better lighting, more garbage bins, and accessible pathways so families can use these parks throughout the day and evening. When the City revisits its Parks Master Plan in 2026, I’ll ensure West Windsor’s voice is heard, prioritizing investment in our neighbourhood parks and exploring simple enhancements that build community like activating spaces with family-friendly programs, earlier opening of outdoor pools, and stronger partnerships with local organizations to keep parks clean and vibrant.
How will you support access to libraries and community centres as essential public resources in Ward 2?
Ward 2 is fortunate to have two library branches and a community centre that serve as vital neighbourhood
hubs offering learning, recreation, and connection for residents of all ages. These spaces are essential public resources that deserve continued investment and attention. I’ll advocate for expanded library hours and staffing to ensure families, students, and seniors can access programs and services when they need them. Libraries are more than just books they’re safe, inclusive gathering places that support lifelong
learning, digital access, and community well-being.The upcoming renovation of the Adie Knox facility, set to be completed in 2026, presents a major opportunity to expand recreation and community programming right here in West Windsor. I’ll work to ensure the updated space truly meets the needs of residents, with affordable, accessible, and family-friendly programming. At the same time, I’ll continue pushing the University of Windsor to honour its commitments
to community access to its pool and fitness facilities during and after the renovation. Beyond Ward 2, I’ll also support the development of a new central library branch to act as an anchor for the entire library system, connecting neighbourhood branches and strengthening services across the city.

Parks and green space are a big part of who I am. I will ensure that are parks see improvements if elected.
We need increased lighting, improved facilities and an increased budget specifically for Ward 2. I will also advocate to the Ambassador Bridge Company to add more green space amongst their dilapidated and abandoned homes west of the bridge. They owe the community as a whole for the years of neglect that has taken hold of our communities
How will you support access to libraries and community centres as essential public resources in Ward 2?
We need to stop closing our public libraries throughout the city. I will push to have free wifi installed in all libraries and public buildings to try and increase the number of people that visit these locations on a regular basis.

Support of community initiatives and groups as well as funding for continuous improvement
How will you support access to libraries and community centres as essential public resources in Ward 2?
I believe in more community bussing with neighbourhood routs that would allow more library access to residents with mobility issues or who are otherwise too distant to travel by foot.

I would advocate for regular maintenance and personally organize community clean up efforts and accessibility/inclusion upgrades.
How will you support access to libraries and community centres as essential public resources in Ward 2?
John Muir is one of, if not the least funded library in Windsor. It has a lot of potential but does not have the funding to capitalize on that. After visiting libraries in Leamington recently, it's very clear that Windsor has a long way to go. I would like to see increased support for library programs and amenities that would benefit lower income residents.
Other Notes / Comments
To clarify on housing first, it doesn't always work. The model assumes that stable housing will create the foundation for addressing other challenges but some clients are not suitable for immediate shared or even independent housing. This is not a one size fits all solution and we should focus on having a support network of various programs and mental health services lined up for individuals who may need additional
support
