Windorites face numerous barriers to their local government. The City of Windsor's budgets are frequently scored as the least transparent in the country. City Council meets when the average, working person cannot attend. Compared to other municipalities, our streaming technology is outdated and of subpar quality.
Pages on the City of Windsor website refer to "Town Halls" and events that occured over a year ago. Progress on Master Plans is left unspoken and unreported. Simply, this is not how a government should communicate with the electorate.
Windsorites should have easy access to Council meetings, minutes and their representatives. Engage Windsor has identified transparency as a key issue leading to the 2026 Municipal Election. We advocate for:

Digital Infrastructure
Windsor residents should be able to rely on the City of Windsor website to provide up-to-date information about events, town halls and decisions.
Plan Follow-Through
Windsor residents should be consistently and transparently informed about the progress Council has made on all Master Plans.
Our City, 
Engage believes in advocacy through empowerment. Municipalities across Ontario run "Resident Satisfaction Surveys" that ask residents important questions about their quality of life, service satisfaction and budget priorities. The City of Windsor does not run these surveys, but with the municipal election approaching we thought it was more important than ever that we discuss these important topics with our community.
