Engage Windsor Launches “Community Check-In Survey” to Capture Resident Priorities Ahead of 2026 Municipal Election
Engage Windsor is launching a new Community Check-In Survey to gather resident feedback about quality of life, city services, and priorities for the future of Windsor.
The survey opens April 1 and will run through early May, inviting residents to share their perspectives on how the city is performing and what issues should receive the most attention from local leaders.
Across Ontario, municipalities regularly conduct resident satisfaction surveys to better understand how people experience their city and where improvements are needed. The Community Check-In Survey aims to bring that same opportunity directly to Windsor residents.
The initiative comes as the October 2026 municipal election approaches. Insights from the survey will help identify the issues residents care most about and provide valuable information that can inform public conversations about Windsor’s future.
“Strong communities are built when residents have meaningful opportunities to share their experiences and priorities,” said Josh Sankarlal, the organization’s co-chair. “The Community Check-In Survey is a chance for Windsorites to reflect on the city’s quality of life and help shape the conversations that will guide the next municipal term.”
Engage Windsor is a grassroots community organization focused on strengthening civic engagement and helping residents connect with local decision-making. The organization works to empower community members to take part in shaping a transparent, responsive, and service-oriented local government.
Residents are encouraged to participate and share their perspectives to ensure a broad range of voices are represented.

Engage believes in advocacy through empowerment. Municipalities across Ontario run "Resident Satisfaction Surveys" that ask residents important questions about their quality of life, service satisfaction and budget priorities. The City of Windsor does not run these surveys, but with the municipal election approaching we thought it was more important than ever that we discuss these important topics with our community.
